Scout Intel is a voice-first match-notes app for football analysts. This page describes what data we collect, how we use it, and the third-party services involved. We do not sell user data to third parties.
What we collect
- Email address — used to authenticate your account.
- Voice recordings — sent to our transcription provider, transcribed to text, and then discarded. We do not retain the raw audio.
- Transcripts — the text of your match notes, stored in your account so you can search and revisit them.
- AI-generated tags & insights — categorisations, entity mentions, and short summaries derived from your transcripts.
- Usage metadata — AI token counts and per-call costs so we can monitor service usage. We do not collect device identifiers or location.
How we use it
- To provide the core service: transcription, categorisation, search, and insight generation.
- To improve transcription quality and AI categorisation accuracy.
- To detect abuse and protect the service.
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not share your notes with anyone outside the service providers listed below, who process data only on our instructions.
Third-party services
Scout Intel uses the following service providers to deliver the app:
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
- OpenAI — Whisper transcription and text embeddings used for semantic search.
- Anthropic — AI categorisation, insight generation, and search synthesis.
- Sportmonks — public football fixture, team, and player data. No user data is sent to Sportmonks.
- Vercel — application hosting and deployment.
Data retention
- Raw audio — discarded immediately after transcription. We do not store recordings.
- Transcripts and notes — retained for as long as you have an active account, so they remain searchable and editable.
- Account deletion — you may request deletion of your account and associated notes by emailing us at the address below. We will action requests within 30 days.
Children
Scout Intel is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email to the address on your account. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
